Author Visits and Assembly Programs

The author travels the USA sharing information as an author and also as a motivational speaker who encourages children to make a difference in the world.  She works to inspire action taking programs and projects. She uses literacy, writing, as well as art and music to promote her causes. She motivates plantings and recycling. She is an activist for those children who live without the needs that the children in our world need to survive.

Her environmental workshops have been presented to Barbara Bush at the Read Commission and partnered with the famous Jane Goodall with whom she was invited to do a book signing at the Moody Gardens Environmental center in Texas. Jane Goodall was presented with a watercolor painted illustration from her first book, Johnny & The Oak Tree. Paulson has used her author status to help others working with many artists such as Tony Orlando, the Eagles Don Henley and other world actors, musicians and world leaders who use their status to bring awareness to environmental concerns, promotion of literacy and human rights issues for children.

In May of 2000 the author was invited to share her work in Eastborne England at

a United Nations Event. Children from 120 countries took part in a paper making workshop with the author and were happy with the sponsorship that allowed 1000 books to be donated to those children from developing countries. Signing these books that would travel around the world to spread her messages of caring for the earth along with her time spent with children from developing countries changed her life.

This was a powerful moment of my life states Paulson, " I put my hands into a bucket to make paper with hundreds of children from around the world.  Our hands were touching, piled one on top of the other, and I saw one global miracle happen before my eyes. We did not all speak the same language yet we understood each other clearly." I knew then that I was born to reach out to these children in developing countries.

Paulson has created programs and events in her own community to help children in need.

During post 9-11, she offered mentoring to children who lost their parents in the world trade center disaster. She used the environment and helping others as a tool to direct the grieving children towards a greater cause. She has helped raise funds for children who were burn victims as well as those who suffer with cancer. She does not only raise the funds but puts her own time and heart into her cause.

The author speaks with large groups of students in assembly fashion. Using visuals and her past experience as a teacher, she modifies her teachings so that children from pre school to high school can benefit from her visits. All of her workshop visits are followed by a book signing. Books should be pre ordered weeks ahead of the author visit and will be signed and prepared to hand out to children so they feel they have had a one on one meeting with the author. The author also offers 3 to five day visits as an author in residence. Because her work is environmental in topic, it is easy to find sponsorships and grants that will support her programs. Also, day care centers, pre schools and non profit groups like scouts should call Hands on The World Global to set up programs that are affordable to your needs.

Paulson's workshops have been sponsored by Wal-Mart, The American Forest and Paper, Johnson and Johnson in South Africa, Toys R US South Africa, PTO's in many states and countries.

Schools in the USA have become partners to raising funds for school and clinic programs. Children helping children is the goal.

She has been the guest speaker for many clubs including the National Groundwater Association and has been one of the guest speakers with her books being featured for the famous National Groundhog Day in PA. The author has appeared on ABC news in Texas and SABC news in South Africa. She has  been featured on local NJ TV stations over the past 12 years sharing her projects and welcoming those who work with children to join her.

Her books are being used world wide in schools and also featured for National Recycling Day and within Colin Powell's American Promise. Barbara Bush promotes literacy and she wrote Paulson a personal letter to commend her book, Johnny & The Old Oak Tree. They were featured on CNN as her books were distributed in TX to under served schools and communities with the Read Commission.

Paulson also has received a letter from the honorable Pope commending her of her work with developing countries.

The author  speaks to Rotary Clubs around the world and presently works with Rotary in SA as well as in the UK.

Her workshops can fit into Earth Day festivals, Teacher Workshops or can be set up to fit any company event that wishes to bring awareness to the environment.

She also speaks to groups that have interest in visiting Africa and sharing their talents in her hub areas.

Her work also expands to USA schools that wish to develop projects that connect to those adopted schools in South Africa. Ask about adopting a school water well project today!!!!!!!
