
Author Speaker Background
Rachael Paulson is a certified teacher of both early childhood and special education. She spent 12 years in the classroom teaching children, and developing programs for children with special needs.
When she published her books, she began consulting with schools to teach them how they can interact with their surrounding communities. As a children's environmental author, she used helping the earth and others as a way to bring communities and villages together.
She has traveled the USA and abroad to present her stories that share with both children and adults her research and travel.
She also is a motivational speaker who encourages children to make a difference in the world. She works to inspire action taking programs and projects. She uses literacy, writing, as well as art and music to promote her causes. She motivates plantings and recycling. She is an activist for those children who live without the needs that the children in our world need to survive.
Her environmental workshops have been presented to Barbara Bush at the Read Commission and partnered with the famous Jane Goodall with whom she was invited to do a book signing at the Moody Gardens Environmental center in Texas. Jane Goodall was presented with a watercolor painted illustration from the authors first book, Johnny & The Oak Tree.
Paulson has used her author status to help others. Working with many artists such as Tony Orlando, the Eagles and singer Don Henley.She works with world known actors, musicians and world leaders using her status to bring awareness to environmental concerns, promotion of literacy and human rights issues for children. The profits from her books go towards
her worthy projects that have helped children worldwide.
In the year 2000 the author was asked to present her workshop to children from 120 countries at a Untied Nations UNEP event. She also signed books for children.
Thousands of children from around the world took part in a paper making workshop with the author and were happy with the sponsorship that allowed 1000 of her books to be donated to those children from developing countries.
This was a powerful moment of my life states Paulson, " I put my hands into a bucket to make paper with hundreds of children from around the world. Our hands were touching,piled one on top of the other, and I saw one global miracle happen before my eyes. We did not all speak the same language yet we understood each other clearly." I knew then that I was born to reach out to these children in developing countries.
Paulson has also created programs and events in her own community to help children in need.
During post 9-11, she donated time to children who lost their parents in the world trade center disaster. She used the environment and helping others as a tool to direct the grieving children towards a greater cause. She has helped raise funds for children who were burn victims as well as those who have suffered with cancer. She does not only raise the funds but puts her own time and heart into her cause. She invited others to join her plight motivating
thousands of people thus far to help with causes that champion needy children.
The author speaks with large groups of students in assembly fashion. Using visuals and her past experience as a teacher, she modifies her teachings so that children from pre school to high school can benefit from her visits. All of her workshop visits are followed by a book signing. .

She has been featured with her books and her work on ABC news in Texas and on on SABC news in South Africa.

Paulson also has received a letter from the honorable Pope commending her on her work with developing countries.
The author speaks to Rotary Clubs around the world and presently works with Rotary in SA as well as in the UK.
