Background of the South Tongu Green Community Hub

In 1998, Joseph Kove the Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation in Ghana conducted a survey in Africa into the social background of children and women. The findings of the survey revealed the urgent need of thousands of children and women all over the continent who suffer much unacceptable deprivation and undue hardship in terms of basic education, health, nutrition, child/women abuse and neglect. The foundation therefore decided to do something to improve the conditions of these children and women to enable them become responsible citizens. This laudable idea was shared among other citizens within and outside the continent who have proven interest in child and women welfare and are willing to assist. Their collaborative and sustained effort prompted the formation of this organization on 16th January, 1999 to primarily initiate action on development, protection and survival of these children and women.

The organization quickly and consistently formulated viable strategies and programs which gives expression to its avowed commitment to meeting the needs of these children and women.

In December of 2009, Joseph Kove applied to become a Green Community Hub of Hands on the World Global Inc.

Robin Graham of the UK introduced us to this school and suggested

the application process. Robin will be working to bring on UK partners.

As a new Green Community Hub all stages need to be adopted.
