The Lighthouse Mission
In the USA we are working with the Light House mission in Pineville KY to bring food security and basic needs to 2000 children in Bell County. This is a clinic that serves adults and 2000 chidren and they work hand in hand with all of the surrounding schools making this a perfect base for us to reach out, educate and donate supplies.
So far, we have sent over 500 pairs of children’s shoes for 2009 going back to school.
GOALS
- Will be ongoing to run food drives, accept donations for shipping and delivery of all goods.
What we need
- Shoes for children and can be new or slightly worn. Sneakers are the most helpful.
- We are also working with the Shoes of Hope project that is collecting shoes that are handpainted by children so that they can go to children in need.
- Health care kits for children that have toothbrushes, toothpaste , soap
- Ongoing food drives that collect either foods or gift cards for groceries.
- Partners and sponsors to assist us with shipping costs.
- Donations of funds for cases of environmental books to be signed by Rachael Paulson and donated to this hub under our non profit status. USA and UK children can donate a book and sign it.
- Those who wish to spend time at this hub and access the needs that will provide basic needs to the 2000 children we are helping to serve.
